Madeline has been asking for Pixie Dust for Christmas. For over a month! She is very specific...it needs to make her fly, and sparkle, and do magic, and never run out. Oh and give her wings. Hmm...anyone know where I can find that? I was hoping that she'd just forget about it but every time we mention Santa, the Pixie Dust comes up and its at the top of her list, right after "remote control puppy."
It's almost Christmas Eve and I've yet to find the real stuff, so I attempted to make my own and I'm hoping that it'll do. It wont make her fly, but it's sparkly! That has to count for something, right? I put glitter into a small plastic christmas ornament bulb and then put that into a larger ornament so that there is no spilling, and I've written a special letter about how the pixie dust loses it's magic if it comes out of the ball. My hope is that she will listen and just hang it on the tree to look at, but I'm expecting a house covered in glitter. We'll see how it goes. I just hope she likes it and that it's close enough to the real stuff!
PS I've finally started using my Silhouette machine and I'm basically in love. That thing is awesome!
